The voices of students are always at the forefront of this text, as Wade uses their own language and stories to describe hookup culture and its relationship to students' lives. I would unequivocally recommend this as a text for First Year Seminar or similar classes, and similarly recommend it to anyone about to attend college.

This book was terrible! The author dosent seems to have an opinion on what shes researching, only talked to college students at universities, jumped around too much.

Avoid my mistake: assuming that today's "college experience" is pretty much the same as mine was so many years ago. Good read for anyone about to enter college and for parents and grandparents of those about to enter.

Those well connected with the current college culture may find they already know much of what the book covers, however. One person found this helpful.
